So, what is a National Certified Master Groomer? A National Certified Master Groomer (NCMG) is a groomer who has taken the time and acquired the skill to pass a 100 question written exam and practical exam (grooms conducted in front of an evaluator) for each of the breed groups (sporting, non sporting, and terrier). The terrier group requires a practical of a long legged terrier as well as a short legged terrier.
After passing each of these, the groomer takes a 400 question written exam covering all breed groups, salon safety, and more. Once the groomer passes this with an 80% or greater, they earn the designation of a National Certified Master Groomer from the National Dog Groomers Assoc. of America, (NDGAA).
Cheyenne has been a National Certified Master Groomer since 2014 and was the youngest NCMG at that time.

By popular request, we offer Very Individualized Pampering (VIP) Express Grooms!
What does this mean? Your pup will have an appointment prior to the beginning of our normal business hours and will receive their VIP Express Groom where the Awesome Dog Grooming team will care for them without any interruptions.
In an effort to assist our pup parents in saving money, typical grooming appointments overlap with one another. This allows our team members to bathe a pup in each of our tubs while other team members work on drying and brushing while our National Certified Master Groomer styles your pup to perfection. This system allows for multiple pups to be pampered at the same time resulting in a shared cost of the time and resources.
With the VIP Express Groom, your pup will be the only pup in the salon. This will be excellent for the pup parent that wishes to have a faster turnaround or for a pup that needs a quiet or one on one environment. Due to the entire time slot and team being on hand for only your pup during this time, there will be a 50% increase to the normal groom cost and the full deposit must be paid at the time the appointment is reserved. There will be no refunds of the deposit for no shows or for cancellations less than 48 hours prior to your appointment due to the time slot being reserved solely for your pup and team members being scheduled to arrive prior to normal operating hours. The VIP Express Grooms can be reserved for your pup by texting or calling the salon at 334.494.8435.

When it comes to matting, we believe in humanity over vanity. If matting cannot be humanely worked out, we will let you know. We will be glad to shave the matting off of your pup. We sincerely appreciate our valued pup parents for also putting the comfort of their pup at the forefront.
